Full course description
This 12-week course is part of the Truett Seminary Certificate Program, and is suitable for laypeople, church leaders, and ministers of all types, including church pastors.
Certificate Students will spend time learning how to better
read, interpret and apply Scripture. It places a great importance on
observing scripture, and interpreting it within its appropriate textual
This course is normally taken as the second of the Certificate Program’s six core courses.
Without special permission, participants must first take CCF00 - Orientation and Formation.
For this course students will require a copy of the following book:
Duvall, J. Scott, and J. Daniel Hays. Grasping God’s Word: A Hands-On Approach to Reading, Interpreting, and Applying the Bible. Zondervan, 2012
Within the Certificate Program, this course is of modest difficulty.
